Hey there, you look great, by the way.

So I've been crazy busy. Here's a few things I've been doing: (Going to the river with Selby, my dog, doesn't count.) I put in a ton of summer dresses, mens swim trunks ( hope the dudes like short shorts), new tube tops, a new window of unmentionables a.k.a. slips nighties pettipants, hawaiian maxi gowns and mens shirts ( lots of mens shirts). Next week , it's shoes, purses, shorts, skirts and whatever else. I'm moving into full on summer mode.

Also, last week, I went and bought a ton of stuff that filled a moving van. I've already started to wash it all. Y'a gotta love a triple loader. (Words out on the street that there's a Qunita (5) loader and it's just a matter of time before me and it spend some special time together.)

I'll put a few photos up of amazing items in the store too on a separate photo page titled- "YES!"

A Review of my successes

As we well know, there's not enough room in the entire internet to catalog them all- so I'll just review this past week. I put in all sorts of new stock: both wash and dry cleaning. I did the dress section and the blouse section and the jacket section. We've got a pastel window with lots of cotton dresses of the 50's and 60's variety. I just did a massive buy of a massive collection and have been participating in endless back-breaking work that should benefit you and only you. The yield of this stock will not only be fruitful throughout the summer but also further into autumn. ( So far I've dry cleaned 52 coats with another truck load going on monday.) It's coming into LULA- Chronically -Constantly- Endlessly. If you miss this opportunity to score- your dear heart will surely break. I guess that's all for today...

16 loads of laundry

That's right. And more tomorrow. Most of which has come in today and will be added the next few days. Predominantly the loads consist of dresses, tops and mens shirts. I've got a "batik- gunny sax hippy girl" window going until the end of the week. It'd be a good time to come in- if your looking for spring clothing.

SO there's a fashion spread of LULA items. But when I looked it up- there were no photos on the site. Who wants that? So I will figure out why but for now you will need to simply look at the actual paper today. Sorry. Parts of the same shoot are in spaces magazine which- again- I can't seem to link. Whoa- it's almost april

I'm not going to lie- I've got a lot going on. I went on a massive buy that made me feel like I ripped my arms out of their little sockets.

(PS.This buy will make you go insane in your stylish little membrane.)

However- somehow, I still brought it this week. Because, for you, I'd do anything. New blouses - new shorts- new dresses- new window. Next week, we focus on summer dresses and swim wear. I think LULA is in the paper too. The St Paul Pioneer Press on sunday. ( I think ? I wax on about spring fashion.) I will update at the end of next week to corroborate my progress with my April transition . Over and out...

Oh my gosh- in real time- on a saturday at LULA - no less. Ever so quickly, (I have the store full of spring shoppers) I just wanted to update that I did - in fact- add all of the items I set out to this week. Also, my plan for monday is mens' wear or as I like to call it, "The Mens Department".If you are attending the MAD MAN PArty at Jax this sunday- have a swell time. Enjoy the show!

Oh yeah, I think we are in the pioneer press on the last sunday of march… please have some coffee , kick back and get some fashion advice.

Hey- wasn't that an unbelievable St Patricks day? It was as though we all had an estatic buzz going. People were everywhere in St Paul having a crazy, great time. I can see, even two days later, people are still in recovery mode. It was warm and beautiful and fully appreciated. The warm temperatures has caused me to need to speed up the process of getting lighter items in the store. SO I moved out most of the light weight cardigans out today and put in a bunch of new tops. Also, I did the same with dresses. I'll go thru the entire store this week in this way. I also put some vintage swim wear into LULA. We have a bunch of great press coming out this week in local papers so keep your eyes peeled. I'll write mid-week with my successes and failures.

Hey, It's Spring outside!!! It's already been spring at LULA for a few weeks. WE have for spring: blouses skirts pants shorts cardigans dresses coats purses hats shoes. We have an all green window for St Pats Day. This week-end- come in and get a new outfit for saturday. There is really cute stuff in here right now. (Objectively and subjectively speaking.) I've got one more group of fresh, new items to bring in tomorrow afternoon. Another thing to mention is that we got some press both in Vita.mn and the Pioneer Press. Spaces magazine will also feature a photo shoot we did in february with an awesome model named Mary. I'll put a link to them after they come out. Also- I'm pretty sure Lula will also be featured in Minnesota Monthly this April. Look for a photo spread done in Miami. Okay- gotta get back to the grind. (I'm working on mens shirts today.Or as I like to call it, "The Mens' Department".)

This week I've done a ton of work putting in new purses, refreshing the blouses, dresses and spring coats. The warm temperatures are inspiring. I'm working on prom too. I'm a little exhausted from all the lifting but the store looks great and people seem to love the new stock.

MARCH 1st CHAT about lula

We did a really fun photo choot on monday. Check out our LONELY HEIRESS photo page for the back scenes form the shoot. So The SPRING FILL is going well. Many new dresses have been added. Womens suits are on our dance card as well as spring coats. By the weeks end- a large portion of LULA will be transitioned. I'm a day behind because of the fake snow storm. My hair did indicate heavy amounts of moisture however and my HAIR-DAR never lies. I also put some pics up on a separate page of some interior LULA shots so you can see for yourself how springy it is at LULA. Come in this week- end then come in next week. Get first dibs!

We are crazy busy at LULA. A number of customers are making there way in to check out the new goods. The RE-stock for spring is going splendidly. The tops and skirts are totally full with new stock. ( I also put in some shorts) Last night, I put in a bunch of packets of new dresses. I've got more to do but I'll wait until next week until these get organized steamed etc. People are snapping stuff up so be sure to get in this week-end and the next week-end as well.

So we have begun our transition slowly with new mens shirts and sweaters. New women's blouse, cardigans and skirts have been added too. There will be major work done monday, tuesday and wednesday with winter leaving LULA and new spring stock entering LULA. On thursday and friday - we will organize the new stock. The same schedule will occur the following week. As well as the week after that. It takes awhile to switch the whole store over for spring so please be patient and kind as lifting over 150 coats is not easy for a 5'3'" female store owner. And no other like store attempts this full on switch to another season. Separates are first on the list this year. They include women's jackets, tops, skirts, pants, shorts, suits, vests etc. These are located in the back area of LULA. I'll try to blog daily about my success and include some pics of new items.

A GRAND FEBRUARY RESTOCK

Alrighto- here we go- I'm putting new mens stuff in this week-end. New cowboy shirts, dress shirts and sweaters ( Mainly golf cardigans). I also have dry cleaning coming in on friday; both mens suits and silk dresses. I put in tons of womens blouses this week already and I have some womens spring cardigans coming in on sunday. I have a fabulous valentines window with new red, pink, magenta, purple dresses for date night. Next week - I've got some cashmere coats in smaller sizes coming in. They are too cute to wait for next season.

That's what e.e. cummings said and let's face it- he had something there. However- HOWEVER- I've had a whole lot of februarys' at LULA and I know the perfect solution- think spring. So not only do I revived LULA with some stuff I've somehow forgotten to put out or saved because of sheer cuteness but I start working towards our unnamed future. I'll be prepping all my spring stock and start pulling out the items in LULA to make room for the new. It's an insane amount of work usually coupled with a few terrible colds, a blizzard and one painfully bad mod. BUT I get through it.AND THAT IS ANOTHER REASON LULA IS SO AWESOME- I perserver so you need to also. My next Blog will be more in detail regarding my plan for the spring switch over. Stayed tuned - stay positive- I say, why not put on a LULA item and look at how cute you are?

Hey there- everyone- it's january in every way. Calm, quiet cold nights- chilly mornings. Running to our cars( or bikes). It's easy to get a bit down but my advice is to pull out those thick, cute sweaters and nubby scarves and simply wear more pieces of cute clothes. Fashion shouldn't drop with the temperature. So my solution is to restock daily. A new full fur window will be in on the upcoming tuesday and we will all persevere through another winter in MINNesota. Celebrate the winter with a party- cocktail or fake ski lodge. There's always a reson to have fun.

Upcoming at LULA:

Spring starts coming into LULA on FEB 22, 2012. Please keep in mind that this transistion takes 10 days. My advice for any LULA transistion is to be patient and come in often. Keep in mind that during the 10 days, it's harder for me to work as your personal clothier. During the switch to a new seasons stock, I need to tag and prep the new stock. On saturdays, I never refill so if you need my attention come on saturdays during all seasonal transistions. I'll be completely present to give all of my LULA love.
